Summer is a great time to check on your furnace since it’s not running as hard in the warm weather. If you see rust like this, give us a call for an inspection to make sure that it’s not going to fail you when the temperatures get colder or that it might be leaking carbon monoxide into your home.

Another cracked heat exchanger in a furnace we were servicing. When this happens, it allows carbon monoxide to leak into the home, which is extremely dangerous. We provide carbon monoxide checks on all of our maintenance and service calls to ensure your family is safe.

Testing your furnace for carbon monoxide leaking. This is so vital for your family’s safety. Older furnaces are more likely to emit carbon monoxide so have your system cleaned and tested yearly. No one wants to have to pay for a new furnace but the alternative can be life altering. This furnace had to be condemned, but it could have been a tragedy for a family if the problem wasn’t caught in time.

We found a bypassed pressure switch on the job today. Bypassing the pressure switch in a furnace creates a potentially hazardous living situation.
The pressure switch verifies that the inducer motor and venting are functioning correctly. Once it has been bypassed, if there’s any obstruction in the future, that means it is pouring carbon monoxide into your home. We were happy to catch this before it created a serious problem.
