Another thing to add to this. Don't be afraid to admit and acknowledge your lack of experience or expertise on a subject. Even as a gunsmith there are certain fi****ms I am much much less familiar with. Be aware of your limits.

Understatement.

I get calls daily from people looking for ammunition, on occasion even from out of state. The best I can do is wish them luck and point them in the direction of people and businesses that sell ammo.

Finding ammo? Shortage result of 'perfect storm', not likely to end this year Been to a local gun shop lately?

So this high lights the safety issues of owning fi****ms.

Fair warning this does get into somewhat graphic territory as this shows a .50 BMG rifle exploding in someone's face at a range.

Having had 3 ARs explode in my face in similar fashion ( much less damaging) and having been witness to my father's Mossberg MVP explode ( not the rifles fault) in his face ( also not nearly as damaging) I fully understand the dangers of using said devices and why headspace, bore obstructions and proper ammunition are very important to safety.

I'm glad Scott survived the ordeal, I hope he heals quickly and without issue.

Keep first aid stuff handy, get learned on some first aid things, have a quick easy plan to get people to the proper medical facilities, and stay safe out there.

In less than 18 years ( 2003), a grand total of 19 states have gone Constitutional Carry, with a few more waiting to get on the list, and it would appear to be ramping up with bigger " batches" of states doing it every other year or so.
