W&J Math Department 2018 Homecoming Open House — RSVP 09/10/2018

Calling all alumni! The Math Department will host an open house-style reception in the Math Lounge (Old Main 307) from 10am until noon on Saturday, October 13 (Homecoming!). There will be plenty of brunch-type food and drink available. Most importantly, there will be a chance to visit and catch up.
We've set up a quick survey for you to fill out as your RSVP to this invitation. Even if you're not planning to come, please go to the survey. There's a space there for you to share life/career updates if you like. Feel free to share this link with others who might not otherwise have heard.

On Thursday, April 12, five students were inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon, the Mathematics Honor Society at W&J. Congratulations to Greg Lu ('18), Lottie Murray ('19), Ashley Knoerdel ('18), Catherine McAdoo ('18), and Shulai Yang ('18). Dr. Michael Woltermann opened the ceremony with some compelling remarks about pattern recognition and mathematics.

The W&J Math Department held its MathTalk Symposium for the Fall 2017 semester this past Saturday, December 9. We heard from one team doing their Junior MathTalk (Greg Lu and Catherine McAdoo) and two students doing their Senior MathTalk (Ariel Lei and Sam Schaub). Everyone did a great job!

The W&J Math Department's Spring 2017 MathTalk Symposium was held on Saturday, May 6. Juniors and Seniors presented their semester-long projects to their peers and their professors. And there was cake!
