How many people remember not just the many mules that did plowing demonstrations but the Mule race to the creek and back, or the greased pig chase at Mule Day. Who would love to see all this come back?

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who shared your wonderful photos from our 247th Anniversary Celebration — our very first Battle of Kettle Creek Living History Weekend.

What a special milestone for our community! Seeing the weekend through your photos has meant so much to us. You captured the laughter, the learning, the fellowship, and the spirit of remembrance that made this first event so meaningful.

Because of you, these moments are preserved and the story of Kettle Creek continues to be shared and celebrated. We are truly grateful for your support, your encouragement, and the love you show for our history.

Here’s to honoring the past together — and to many more living history weekends to come.
