It's almost Storm Scouts season! Our popular youth day camp is back this summer, offering THREE week-long sessions for grades 3-6 and 7-10 in August. After 76 hours of fairly consistent summit fog and no sunshine, a brief break in the clouds early this morning allowed one of our summit volunteers to capture a glimpse of sunrise on the horizon. Happy Father's Day and Summer Solstice from the summit!⛅

The summit has been mostly obscured since Wednesday night, with only a short reprieve from the fog, pictured here right after yesterday afternoon's thunderstorm. Over 2 inches of rain has fallen on Mt Washington in the past 48 hours, with additional rain showers forecasted over the weekend.
