BREAKING: SCOTUS just gave the Trump administration two major immigration wins: Mullin v. Doe allows the Trump admin to end TPS for Haitian and Syrian immigrants, while Mullin v. Al Otro Lado would effectively allow Border Patrol to turn away asylum seekers at the border.

She survived violence in Guatemala and wants to give her daughter a future here. The Supreme Court is deciding if that future counts. K is one of the undocumented mothers who became a plaintiff in the birthright citizenship case now before the Supreme Court.

The SAT turns 100! So we hit the streets of DC to see if people could pass the original 1926 version. The test has changed a lot since then, but researchers still debate how well it actually predicts college success. Do you think these tests are a fair measure of student ability? But more importantly, do you think you could ace the 1926 SAT?

BREAKING: US District Judge Denise Casper permanently blocks parts of President Trump’s Executive Order 14248, including the requirement of showing proof of citizenship in order to register to vote. In her order, Judge Casper says the Constitution, “does not grant the President any specific powers over elections.”

ICE just updated its detention standards and one controversial change is getting attention. The voluntary work program previously required detainees to be paid a minimum of a $1 a day. That rule isn’t in the 2026 version.

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is proposing raising US citizenship application fees, with some fees spiking as much as 83%. The new fee proposal also would get eliminate a reduced fees for qualified low-income households. The proposal is currently open for public comment on the Federal Register until August 24, 2026.
