DCFD’s HazMat unit has a unique distinction of working with our brothers and sisters in law enforcement. From dual jurisdictional incidents to working amongst them at large scale events. Today we got to stand side by side with them and salute MPD officer Terry Bennett who was killed in the line of duty. Then, we worked with Capitol Police and drilled on some flaring techniques.
Our challenges are unique, but it’s always good to experience sonething new, respect something lost and get better for at all times, always.
