Today is National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day, a day to raise awareness of the impact of HIV on Hispanic/Latino communities, and to work together to stop HIV stigma and promote HIV testing, prevention, and treatment.

Join Whitman-Walker Health Sept 29th from 12 - 3pm for a Beauty Shop Conversations Pop-Up ! Our Beauty Shop Conversations: Beauty IN Wellness will center Beauty IN Wellness, ending stigma, eliminating health care barriers, and educating Black and Brown Women about best safer s*x practices through an open discussion. We will be offering Free confidential HIV/ STI Testing, safer s*x supplies, and safer s*x information in a welcoming salon setting.

, a not-for-profit research organization working with the U.S. Census Bureau, is looking for adults (ages 18 and over) to give their reactions and opinions about questions in a national survey. They are recruiting participants who identify as LGBTQIA+.

The interview will be conducted online using a secure video conferencing app. The interview will take about 60 minutes. We will provide $40 to each eligible person who participates in the 60-minute interview.

PrEP Awareness Day (July 16th) celebrations continue this week! Join us at for happy hour and karaoke, Wednesday from 6-9pm. Come get PrEP’d with a drink on us!

Join us at the East Of The River Fall Fest, Saturday August 17th from 2pm-6pm. The East of the River Fall Festival is Whitman-Walker’s annual back-to-school drive and block party at Sycamore & Oak. Join us for an afternoon of live entertainment, go-go music, food, and special giveaways.

Today July 16th reconizes PrEP Awarneness Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness about the life-saving benefits of Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and its critical role in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Join Whitman-Walker as we kick off the first official PrEP Awareness Day in the District with our friends at ! We are taking over happy hour this Wednesday 7/17 from 5-8pm. Come get PrEP’d with a drink on us!
