Another successful DCDAR State Conference in the books! We are continually inspired by the incredible work being accomplished across all DC chapters. Hearing about the impact made over the past year is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through dedication and teamwork.

Congratulations to all members and chapters for their hard work and commitment. A special acknowledgment to Madam State Regent Yvonne Liser for her outstanding leadership throughout the year.

The Ruth Brewster Chapter is proud to have had another impactful year of service, continuing to grow and increase our contributions to both the community and the organization each year. Great job ladies!

Ruth Brewster and Mary Desha Chapters celebrated their 115th birthday this month!
We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us in making the celebration so special, especially our State Officers for being there to support and celebrate alongside us.
We were also thrilled to welcome and swear in our newest member, Dee A!
Here’s to 115 incredible years of service, sisterhood, and legacy, and to many more to come! 🥂

The Ruth Brewster Daughters wrapped up 2025 together in service and festivity. From honoring our heroes at the Wreaths Across America wreath laying at the U.S. Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Home Cemetery in DC to sharing laughter at our always-anticipated annual holiday social and White Elephant gift exchange, it was a meaningful and joyful close to the year.
We hope everyone is welcoming the New Year in good health, with many blessings ahead. Looking forward to another year of service, sisterhood, and friendship.

A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us at DCA to welcome our veterans this past weekend. It was such a heartwarming experience handing out cards, shaking hands, and personally thanking each and every service member as they arrived to spend the day in our nation’s capital.

Afterward, Ruth Brewster Daughters enjoyed some sunshine, good food, and even better company over lunch nearby.

With Veterans Day tomorrow, we encourage everyone to take a moment to honor and thank those who have served. 🇺🇲

This Sunday (Oct 26), we’re teaming up with the Judge Lynn Chapter to cheer on the ~40,000 runners in the Marine Corps Marathon, including our own chapter regent, Ciara!
Bring your most creative signs, DAR spirit and of course, more cowbell!

What a fantastic start to our new program year! We kicked off our first chapter meeting this weekend with an engaging presentation from Chapter Regent Ciara Y. on the fascinating history of the US Navy in honor of their 250th birthday this month!
​We were also excited to finalize prospective member Hilary's application. We look forward to officially welcoming her to the chapter soon!

​P.S. Huge thanks to everyone who brought in their plastic bags for our recycling initiative. Every little bit helps, so keep those extra bags coming! Also, special thanks to our Vice Regent for opening up her home to us.

Last weekend, members of the Ruth Brewster Chapter had the honor of participating in a service project at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. We joined fellow DAR members in cleaning the memorial, a meaningful tribute to those who served. A special thanks to James from the National Park Service for his invaluable support and dedication. We appreciate the hard work of the NPS and are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community.
