🚨ACT NOW🚨

Because of years of hunting with lead ammunition, lead is all over our environment and wildlife frequently ingests it leading to millions of animals suffering from lead poisoning. In fact, lead poisoning is the leading cause of death for California condors, threatening them with near extinction. Now, Congress is trying to make it harder to prevent lead exposure with the misleadingly named Protecting Access for Hunters and Anglers Act.

This dangerous bill has already passed the House so we must act now to ensure it does not advance any further -- Congress should not be making it harder to protect the public and wildlife from lead exposure.

House Appropriations Committee package promises disaster for wildlife 06/05/2026

🚨UPDATE🚨

On Wednesday, the House Appropriations Committee passed the FY 2027 Interior-Environment Appropriations bill on a largely party line vote of 35-27. There were some positive developments for animals including support for ending animal testing at the EPA in this bill. Longstanding protections for wild horses and burros to prevent them from going to slaughter were also maintained--a big THANK YOU to all of you who spoke up 🙌

Despite those two positive developments, this bill is bad news for wildlife, especially for some of our most vulnerable animals like gray wolves and grizzly bears.

Tell the FDA: Make it clear that animal testing is not required! 06/03/2026

Over 90% of drugs that appear successful in animal tests go on to fail in human clinical trials. So why are animals still being used when kinder, scientifically robust and human-relevant methods exist?

Thankfully, U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that they will work on phasing out animal testing for antibody therapies and other drugs, but it's up to us to ensure they follow through.

ACT NOW: contact the FDA and hold them accountable to their promise ⬇️

Grizzly bears have just started their slow recovery but still face serious challenges. If we remove their Endangered Species protections now, we may lose them forever.

🚨ACT NOW🚨

The Farm Bill has passed the House, largely on party lines, and it includes the Save Our Bacon Act. We must act NOW to ensure the Senate does not include this dangerous language in their version of the Farm Bill.

You can help by urging your federal legislators to ❌OPPOSE❌ a Farm Bill that includes any language that restricts state farm animal laws 🐷🐮

🎉GREAT NEWS🎉

Last week, the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Republicans and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure passed the BUILD America 250 Act, which included language that BANS the transport of horses to slaughter.

TY Congressman Jeff Van Drew and Congresswoman Dina Titus for leading the bipartisan charge on this crucial amendment bringing us one step closer to ending the ability to send horses in the U.S. to slaughter 👏

We will continue to advocate for this provision as this bill advances in the House and the Senate 🐎

This year, in Grand Teton National Park, a young bear called Miracle is surviving solo. Miracle was originally a triplet. But after reportedly being separated from their mother, Bonita, in 2025, two of Miracle’s siblings were confirmed dead.

🚨BREAKING🚨

The House Committee on Appropriations just released their annual bill to fund U.S. Department of the Interior and the good news is it maintains longstanding language preventing wild horses and burros from going to slaughter--thank you for answering our call to contact your Representative to protect wild horses and burros, it worked 🙌

Unfortunately, the bill is bad news for Endangered Species Act-protected wildlife. If passed, the bill would direct U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to remove crucial safeguards for gray wolves and grizzly bears, including delisting these species that still urgently need federal protections 🐺🐻

“A failure to finalize protections for pangolins would do more than just harm wildlife—it would benefit those who profit from the illegal trade,” says Gabe Wigtil, wildlife trafficking program director at Humane World for Animals.

Once triggered, the M-44 cyanide bomb shoots a pellet of sodium cyanide into an animal’s mouth—causing terror, pain, distress, suffering, injury and death.

Although its primary targets are coyotes and foxes, the M-44 also kills animals it is not intended to harm including people’s pets and endangered wildlife species. Even worse, the M-44 is a clear and present danger to people, too, given its indiscriminate nature.

The M-44 is a weapon of terror and extreme violence, and in the world we envision—the world we’re trying to create—there can be no place for it.
