From the Global Boyhood Initiative archives: 10 practical ways to talk with kids about radical influencers and the content they encounter online.
Start with curiosity. Ask what they’re watching, what they like about it, what they disagree with, and how it makes them feel. Giving young people room to explain what they’re seeing can open up conversations about masculinity, relationships, success, and the messages they’re absorbing online.

What draws young men into online fitness cultures? Often, it starts with something as simple as wanting to belong.
In this clip from POSTER BOY: BECOMING ZYZZ, we hear about the friendships that formed around Aziz Shavershian, and the gym community that brought together young men who had often felt like outsiders elsewhere.
Equimundo is proud to support this new documentary exploring masculinity, identity, belonging, body image, and the influence of online cultures on young men.
POSTER BOY: BECOMING ZYZZ is now available internationally on YouTube and streaming on Stan in Australia.

For generations, youth clubs have given young people somewhere to make friends, build confidence, explore their interests, and feel like they belong.
Since 2010, local authority spending on youth services in England dropped by over 70%. Recent UK government funding commitments are a welcome step forward, but long-term, sustainable investment is urgently needed to restore lost spaces.
This International Youth Day, Equimundo and Restless Development are celebrating the role youth clubs have played in shaping generations of young people, and calling for investment in the spaces today’s young people deserve.
Spaces to connect, grow, experiment, and discover who they are, free from limiting expectations about gender.

We’re missing half the story.
For decades, we’ve talked about why involved fathers matter for children. We spend far less time talking about what fatherhood does for men.
Research shows that engaged caregiving is associated with greater purpose, stronger relationships, and even measurable changes in the brain.
