It’s our Executive Director Paige’s birthday!🎂🐱

In honor of the woman who somehow manages to juggle rescue calls, foster coordination, vet appointments, adoptions, and approximately one million cat photos, we’re taking a moment to celebrate. We wouldn’t be here without her.

Thank you Paige for the dedication and endless love you pour into Tiny Cat Animal Rescue and every cat that comes through our doors. We hope your day is filled with happiness, cake, and at least a few uninterrupted cat cuddles💛

Help us wish Paige a happy birthday in the comments! 🎉

Tiny Cat Animal Rescue cats have officially tested (and approved) their new play pads🩵

Thank you to for awarding us a 2026 Play Pet Beds Grant!

These beds are already helping our foster cats rest, decompress, recover, and settle into safe spaces while they wait for their forever homes. From shy new arrivals to energetic kittens, having a soft, secure place to land makes a huge difference.

The P.L.A.Y. Chill Pads will be used throughout our foster network for newly rescued cats, cats recovering from illness or procedures, kittens and moms, transport carriers, and adoption meet-and-greets 🐾

Tiny Cat Animal Rescue is looking for fosters! 🐾

Every cat you see in our rescue is safe because someone opened up their home, even temporarily. Fostering saves lives. It gives scared cats a place to decompress, helps kittens grow up in a loving environment, and creates space for us to rescue even more cats in need.

We provide support, guidance, and supplies when possible. You provide the spare room, the patience, and the love.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign to apply. Your future foster cat is waiting.🩵

Meet Sassafras Swirl, He is 2 years , He would do best in a quiet home, no other animals or kids .

Sassafras Swirl lives up to every syllable of his name. He’s got the sweetness of a Southern dessert and just enough sass to keep things interesting—mostly at mealtimes, when he will loudly make sure you haven’t forgotten him. (You won’t.) The moment his belly is full, though? He’s immediately switching gears to demand pets and scritches. Loudly, again. He has opinions, and he shares them.

Outside of his very reasonable culinary advocacy, Sassafras is a genuine lap cat. He’ll settle in beside you for a movie or a long read, bat enthusiastically at a mouse-on-a-string, and melt into whatever sunbeam he can find. He uses his scratching posts religiously. He is, in short, a cat who knows what he likes.

He also has what we’ll generously call a well-developed survival instinct. Strange sounds, unfamiliar situations, anything slightly suspicious? Sassafras is going to investigate from the safety of his hiding spot, thank you very much. (He went as a conspiracy theorist for Halloween. It was very on-brand.) This isn’t a flaw; it’s just Sassafras being Sassafras. With patience and a calm environment, he comes around.

His backstory gives a little context: Sassafras was clearly an indoor cat at some point in his life. We know this because when he found himself briefly on the street, he used a raised garden bed as a litter box, perhaps because it was the only thing that looked familiar. His foster brought him inside immediately, and he’s been thriving ever since. His litter box habits are impeccable.

Because his time outdoors was likely his first real exposure to other cats, he’s still figuring out that they can be friends rather than threats. We’re working on that in foster care now.

Sassafras would do best in a quieter home without young children or dogs (somewhere he can be the main character, because honestly, he was born for that role).

Thinking about fostering for Tiny Cat Animal Rescue? Here’s what you’re really signing up for:

• Tiny paws tapping across your floor at 3am
• Being chosen as the official nap spot
• Kittens falling asleep mid-play like they powered down unexpectedly
• Slow blinks from shy cats who are learning to trust people
• Tiny squeaks and big meows
• Cats “helping” you work by sitting directly on your keyboard
• The daily honor of cleaning up chaos created by a 2-pound animal
• Waking up to a pile of kittens staring at you for breakfast
• Getting greeted at the door like you’ve returned from war after taking out the trash
• Watching scared cats turn into confident, affectionate little weirdos

Fostering is messy, hilarious, rewarding, and genuinely life-saving.

And the best part? Every cat that leaves for their forever home makes room for another one to be rescued 🐾

Meet Moonie McNugget, She is a 3 year old cat looking for her forever home, she does well with other cats, she is shy but friendly,

Moonie was trapped by a dog trapper in September 2025, all alone and not near any known cat colony. The trapper didnt want to send her back outside solo so after the trapper helped facilitate her spay/neuter and we confirmed Moonie was friendly and amenable to indoor life we agreed to take her in. Unfortunately, as soon as she got to her foster home (Paige's house lol), she became catatonic and wouldn’t leave the litter box. She was paralyzed with fear. After I made no progress with her, we decided to move her to am experienced socialization foster (Missi). Moonie has come a long, long way since September, and six months in we really feel like she is ready to go to her forever home. (This is where Missi probably needs to fill in some of the positives about Moonie!)
Missi has said that Moonie now seeks out gentle affection from her and has taken to mothering her other young cats, and has become more playful and curious! She. Lets Missi pick her up , are you interested in adopting Moonie please click on the link below

Meet Juniper, a gentle and resilient mama cat whose story is one of strength, survival, and hope. When she first came into care, Juniper had given birth just three days earlier and was in heartbreaking condition. She had clearly been through far more than any cat should have to endure.

Despite such a difficult start, Juniper has shown incredible determination. Through it all, she has continued to press forward, reminding everyone around her just how strong she is. Her journey has not been easy, but Juniper is proof that even after hardship, healing and brighter days are possible.

Now, Juniper is ready for the next chapter of her life: one filled with comfort, kindness, and the chance to simply be cared for. She deserves a home where she can leave her struggles behind and finally enjoy the safety, love, and peace she has always deserved. Juniper’s past may be sad, but her future is full of hope.
