New Venture Competition held online amid pandemic The Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship moved the New Venture Competition online this year as cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in D.C.

"Their product is a wearable pediatric asthma monitor that detects and alerts parents when their child is experiencing a nighttime asthma attack. The team took home the Viewer’s Choice Award, the Best Medical Tech Prize, and a Runner Up Prize totaling more than $22,000."
