I am doing research and found this blog posting... I think you will like it.
I do have some more catching up to do on "dispatches"... but am juggling priorities.

It’s Time to End Gender Segregation in Mosques « Muslim Reverie I already know what many of you are thinking. “This is haram/biddah/un-Islamic,” or “you’re trying to westernize Islam!” or perhaps my favorite, “This an example of people following their own desires over what God wants or commands.” Some go as far to call Muslim feminism an “oxymoron,” or “extrem...

"Self-actualizing men and women possess at least enough trust - faith,
confidence, intent - to suspend fear and anxiety over survival
concerns; to inch into their unknowns and tolerate, if not actively
invite, the small deaths that lead to a larger, more abundant life."
(from the book, Ordinary People as Monks and Mystics)
There will be more news out on PRAY IN... keep your eyes peeled.
Also, a protest on Wednesday - we need DOERS and not just TALKERS... where are my doers? Contact me and I will let you know where and when. :)

What about NEXT WEEK?
Please speak up and let me know if you are able to be present and which day / time would be best for you.

I
am wondering what the sisters, and brothers, are thinking about the
movement to get women down on the floor, with the congregation, without
barriers... How do you think this will impact Muslim women? Will
success in this initiative mean progress in other issues for women -
and Muslims, in general?

Can we get a WHOOP! This is such a victory, people.
Now these men will be forced to deal with us directly and consider the issue more seriously instead of relying on the convenience of shooing us out with "religious police" vis a vis DC Police Department.
