What if we told you we can raise a billion dollars for local nonprofits? We just need half of all married couples in the DMV who take the standard deduction to fully use the new charitable tax deduction.
Married taxpayers can deduct up to $2,000. If you're both paid 24 times a year, that's $41.67 per person, per paycheck.
There are many incredible local nonprofits that make your dollar go further for the community you're part of. Spur Local is your one-stop shop for finding them. Visit EverydayGivingPledge.org and say yes to giving more and giving local this year.
Spur Local elevates community, and it's at the root of all we do. We are here to support nonprofits, connect them with the resources they need, and build relationships between nonprofits to create a bigger impact. No one organization can do this work alone, but we can do it together. Visit SpurLocal.org to learn more.
Thank you to our community members for sharing their words in this video: Ethel, Kaila, Ashley, Daphney, Michael and Erna, Amanda, Jodi, and Brian.
