Did you know that 70% of Americans are unaware of the most common vascular disease, peripheral artery disease (PAD), which is also the leading cause of amputations?
PAD, in which leg arteries become narrowed, reducing or cutting off blood flow, contributes to 400 amputations a day in the U.S. Through the Get a Pulse on PAD campaign, we encourage people to know your Three for PAD: diabetes, high blood pressure, and the use of to***co products.
Association of Black Cardiologists SCAI - The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions Society of Interventional Radiology Society for Vascular Surgery joined together to form the PAD Pulse Alliance, urging people to Get a Pulse on PAD.
