Exterior panels featuring a striking mural have been installed at our Malcolm X Elementary School project in Ward 8, marking another milestone in the school's transformation.
Created by local artist Hero Art Designs, the mural features Malcolm X alongside an iconic quote. Printed on high-pressure laminate panels and installed at the school's main entrance stair tower, the artwork will be visible to students, staff, visitors, and community members alike. Unlike traditional murals painted directly onto permanent surfaces, these panels can be relocated in the future if renovations occur, helping preserve the artwork for generations to come.
The mural is part of a larger public art program that will incorporate artwork from local artists throughout the school, creating a vibrant learning environment that celebrates the history, culture, and spirit of the community.
