This Juneteenth, we celebrate the generations of Black Americans who fought for freedom and expanded opportunity for everyone.
But let's tell the whole story.
Black people didn't fight for freedom just to be told to stay in our place.
From educators to home care workers. From nurses and doctors to lawyers and judges. From janitors to security officers. From entrepreneurs to elected officials.
We've served in every profession, every industry, and every level of government—including Vice President and President of the United States.
The problem was never what Black people are capable of. The problem is that every time we break barriers, somebody tries to build new ones.
So while we celebrate how far we've come, we also recognize how far we still have to go.
The fight for freedom didn't end with emancipation. The fight for dignity, respect, and economic opportunity continues.

reminds us that freedom is more than a date in history. It’s the ongoing fight for dignity, fair pay, and the power to control our own labor. The work continues because working people deserve more than survival. We deserve money, power and respect.

Elon Musk’s wealth is now larger than the entire economies of about 176 countries. Sit with that. A world where billionaires collect super-yachts and vanity space projects while millions can’t afford healthcare or housing is not a world that’s working.
Actions speak louder than words. In order to avoid tax, Lewis Hamilton lives in Monaco and Switzerland. He also used a corporate leasing structure to save over £3 million in taxes when buying his £16 million private jet in 2013.

Since 2003, Musk’s empire has pulled in at least $38 billion in government contracts, loans, subsidies, and tax credits, with tens of billions more already baked into active deals. SpaceX alone holds around $22 billion in government contracts, and analyses suggest his companies are on track for up to $48 billion in federal revenue over the next decade when you factor in NASA, the Pentagon, and Starlink.
