In honor of the late Chief Finamore of the PG County Fire Department, his son, Lt. Charlie Finamore made an incredible donation to Sons of the Flag raised from the sale of t-shirts honoring Chief Finamore, badge #5. The change this donation will make in a burn survivor's life is incalculable. From all of us at Sons of the Flag, thank you for honoring us with this generous donation!

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the worst attack in US history and a reason many of us joined the military, police and fire departments. Sons of the Flag is built around serving those who serve our community. Greg Turnell, the regional director, asked me to share this tribute with everyone.

Bill Dawson was an American Hero who never wanted notoriety or fame. The last member of the first Navy Seals class, retired DC Fireman from Engine 8 and author. I was hoping to see him next month but he passed away this weekend at 94 years old. A Washington DC Native that lived a full life most men can only dream of. My heart goes out to his loved ones. -A
