Going into this film, it was important to center the human side of the story. Not just the work, but the people around it, Marian’s family, her “why.”

So we tried to capture that in a way that felt real and unfiltered.

For the past six months, I’ve had the chance to work with an amazing crew from all over the country, alongside and our partners at on something that really means a lot to me.

This was more than just a project.

We told the story of Dr. Marian Croak, someone whose work changed how we connect every day. The tech she helped build is behind how we talk, meet, and show up for each other daily.

What stuck with me most is how human her work is. Over 200 patents, but also a real focus on access and connection.

As a director, this is exactly the kind of story I want to tell.

I’m proud of what we made and really grateful for everyone who was part of it. This crew showed up in a big way.
