Pharmacists and student pharmacists have embraced Generation Rx across the country through the American Pharmacists Association, their state pharmacy associations, or in their individual practices. By educating their patients about potential consequences, they help dispel critical misperceptions about safety and legality when misusing prescription drugs. This week is National Drugs and Alcohol Facts Week! (Jan. 22-28)
NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) and NIAAA (National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism) scientists started this program to stimulate the conversation in communities about the science behind drug use and addiction.
Here in CCH, you can learn about the stages of intoxication from the display case.

HU GenRx collaborated with The Girl Scouts of America to educate the public on prescription medication abuse, and how to properly dispose of their medication.

GenRx set up shop in front of the college of pharmacy to raise awareness of substance abuse for National Recovery Month. Undergrads were educated as they walked by on most commonly abused medication and had the opportunity to win prizes.
