Take two states, both of which import energy and rely on natural gas for 77% of their electricity.
One charges 9 cents per kilowatt-hour for electricity while the other charges 27 cents.
The latter, California, insist because they spend more for the same energy generation they are saving the planet, when really their nearly 300% higher cost over Idaho is only due to mandates and subsidies - they are paying the wealthy to put in solar panels and mandating wind vanes.

Lung cancer now is not as high as during the apex of ci******es but lawyers tried to claim it was small micron particulate matter (PM2.5), second- and even third-hand "smoke" - except they couldn't torture epidemiology enough to link them.
The confounder to all lawyer-driven lawsuit claims is that women account for two-thirds of never-smokers with the disease.
