Lamond Riggs Development Task Force

HISTORY

The Lamond Riggs Citizens Association began its in involvement in development projects in our neighborhood several years before the task force was even formed. This increased involvement was the vision of then-LRCA President Rodney Foxworth, along with then-Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) Muriel Bowser, LRCA Vice President Dr. Melvin Rhodes, Citizens Aware Block Organization President Gwen Cofield and Lamond-Riggs Community Action Group Vice President Keith White and several other community leaders, who formally established the Lamond Riggs Development Task Force in 2006. However, the task force has partners in the City Council both Councilmembers Harry Thomas and Muriel Bowser, Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners from both Wards 4 and 5, people knowledgeable in construction, engineering, law, finance, contracting, etc. We are always looking for more members and partners.
