Salad season! 🥬 Longtime food rescuers (+ gardeners) Beth & Bob helped harvest spinach and lettuce Voice of the Farmer Garden yesterday.
This learning garden teaches visitors about the roots of our food system, and Beth & Bob brought these salad greens to the last stop of their lifecycle: the kitchen 🥗
Thanks to the Farm Journal Foundation & our volunteers, these greens will provide delicious nutrition to people experiencing homelessness!

Happy Earth Day! 🌍 We took to the streets with to share food from two of our weekly food rescues with passersby. These fruits, veggies, and bagels were perfectly delicious & safe to eat, but would've otherwise ended up in the trash or compost bin!

Reduce, reuse, recycle isn't just about plastic and paper: we have to consider how much food we produce & use it with care.

Our food rescuers are the lifeblood of our program. We would be nothing without the incredible volunteers giving their time & energy to deliver food donations, every day of the year.
THANK YOU to everyone who has ever done a food rescue for us! Your efforts have saved good, fresh food from going to waste and helped feed our community 👏 🌍
