At , we use specialized equipment to track the performance of our as they search for explosives. Our Technical Survey Dogs wear a T5 dog collar, paired with an Astro 430 tracker, which helps our team monitor their movements accurately. This setup is crucial for measuring the area the dog surveys and for locating them within a 9-mile radius for safety purposes.

The Garmin T5 Dog Collar, equipped with high-sensitivity GPS, allows us to track where the dog is and where they have been. This helps us ensure that the dogs cover all intended areas during a survey.

Ukraine welcomed a delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), and partner Minderoo Foundation to our Dog Training Center in Krasylivka. The visit provided an opportunity to demonstrate our innovative approach to technical survey and humanitarian demining.

As a key supporter of demining operations in Ukraine, Minderoo Foundation is helping restore access to agricultural land for thousands of families. We shared how innovative detection methods are contributing to this effort and discussed the impact of our work.

This year, Technical Survey Dog Rina has already helped survey nearly 94,000 m² of land near the historic Koh Ker temple complex in Cambodia. Her team's efforts found 25 items and greatly reduced the minefield boundaries. Her work will help communities safely reclaim land and preserve access to important cultural heritage areas.

Rina carries out her scent detection work during the cool morning hours alongside her handler, using her exceptional sense of smell to search large areas quickly and efficiently. When she detects the smell of explosives she is trained to sit down at least 1 meter from the target. Technical Survey Dogs like Rina play a vital role in helping teams define hazardous areas more accurately, making land clearance operations safer and more effective.
