: Emerald Cities' DMV and Civic Infrastructure teams facilitated the 4th ECCB DC workshop on the Moral Economy pillar of the Energy Democracy Scorecard. We kicked off with Dreaming Out Loud, introducing Nanny Henny Helen Burrough โ a DC hero who implemented a moral economy in practice through her training schools for Black Women, Cooperative Businesses, and community wealth building programs and services. Grounded in Movement Generationโs โEconomy as Management of Homeโ Framework, we explored how a โmoral economy recognizes the dignity of all workers, provides equal opportunity for everyone to support themselves and their families, and create a level playing field for all.โ
