Check out a website I recently designed for a wonderful local Andean Music group. Grupo Etnia - Part of my consulting services is the joy of helping artists establish themselves professionally. I was introduced to the group's director from chatting with a Peruvian tree removal worker giving me an estimate. I believe Pachamama (mother earth) connected us.

Child care Deserts have expanded and mainly in communities where many mothers/parents of color are the care providers for wealthier families.
According to Child Care Aware of America
"Prior to COVID-19, the U.S. did not have an adequate supply of high-quality child care spaces. This was particularly true for marginalized and often-overlooked communities. Black and Latino families are more likely to have someone who works a nonstandard hour schedule, and this type of child care is in short supply nationwide."
Check out this mapping tool by Center for American Progress to see the *Child care Deserts* in your community!
child care desert—defined as a census tract with more than three children under age 5 for every licensed child care slot.

Estoy siempre dispuesta a colaborar.
¡Gracias! ¡Paysuma! ¡Jallalla! ¡Hasta la victoria siempre!

*SPECIAL NOTICE*
Thank you for visiting the CLAUDIA BARRAGAN for D.C. Council Page. This page was created during the 2020 election cycle in Washington D.C. for the purpose of promoting my candidacy to a D.C. Council At-large seat. While I did not win, it was a valuable experience for the immigrant and marginalized communities that I serve and aim to represent. Out of 24 candidates I came in 12th place, having $4,000 in campaign funds compared to the $350,000 that the winner used. PROVING once again that we IMMIGRANTS (women) GET THE JOB DONE!
Because my professional and lifelong purpose is to *serve and empower historically disenfranchised communities* I am transitioning this page to feature my social enterprise endeavor, Communities In Practice, LLC. Please continue to support and learn about the strides I make to accomplish my purpose. Thank you! Paysuma! Jallalla! ¡Hasta la victoria siempre!
