This week, I gathered elected officials, civic leaders, and clergy from across NE Ohio to speak out against Trump’s FBI raid targeting voter registration, defend our right to vote, and demand answers from the FBI.
Voting is a right and we will not let Ohioans be intimidated.
The Trump FBI conducted a massive raid targeting a voter registration group in NE Ohio. The FBI used hundreds of agents, in an election year, even going to people’s homes.
Voting is a constitutional right – so we need answers. I’m demanding details from the FBI.

Today, I led a letter with my Ohio colleagues demanding answers from Trump’s FBI after their massive raid targeting voter registration in our state.
We need answers because voter registration is not voter fraud.
Cleveland’s NYSP has continued to pour into the young folks of our community by offering programs to prepare students for college and their future ambitions.
This organization is setting our youth up for success, & I couldn’t be prouder of the positive impact they have made.
Caught up with my good friend Gregory Meeks on Black Music Month, his favorite artist, and what Black music means to us.
We filed legislation with Rep. Carson & Sen. Booker to recognize June as Black Music Month – because after centuries of hits, recognition is in order.

Trump's FBI raid on Cleveland is a warning sign of what's to come: A weaponized federal effort to intimidate voters instead of upholding their rights.
This is an unprecedented attack on democracy: these raids must end immediately. Voter registration is not voter fraud.
