An applied improvisation studio helping people and organizations get better at being human.

This is probably one of the most aligned and impactful things we offer at UnScripted Productions

The Opening Day Experience for schools, solves the ongoing struggle of finding meaningful, impactful, sustainable, but also practical way to launch a school year.

Our program builds relationships, community, belonging, and collaboration. More than that, though, teachers leave with tools they can use in the classrooms… the next day.

We partnered with The Baldwin School last year with a half-day session.

84% of faculty and staff rated it as excellent
100% rated as excellent or good
More than 3/4 of participants would highly recommend it

And more importantly, teachers were using what they learned with their students the very next day and beyond.

The best thing we could hear came from an teacher who said,

“When I heard the word ‘improv’ I cringed and slumped into my chair. But quickly realized the prompts I was being given were not only easy — they were allowing an enthusiastic community to form for me in an instant. I will absolutely use some of these techniques with my students.”

We call it The Opening Day Experience because it sets the tone— built on connection, acceptance, and contribution— for an entire school year.

We’re booking fall engagements now so schools can potentially used this years budget to support next year’s impact.

We’re excited to announce another strategic partnership for UnScripted Productions. We’ve made the thoughtful decision to partner with NAIS -- National Association of Independent Schools as a Community Catalyst.

More than anything, this signals our continued commitment to being at the forefront of future-ready education.

Recently, Dr. Laurie Santos posted about hope and how the best way to build it is to take action. Her post was specifically in regards to education.

At UnScripted Productions, we are committed to building hope and taking action. In particularly, we will act to equip educators and schools with the skills and resources to nurture human capabilities in the midst of automation.

Our strength is not in fighting against AI (that’s not the point and not our goal), it is in prioritizing the development of the human beings who will use AI. We need to remember that there aren’t always answers and someone will need to stand up in the room and lead when Chat can’t solve our problems.

We’re honored to support the work of the NAIS and to partner with them to “do better” for the next generation.

Most people think improv is for performers.

It’s not.

It’s for the person who overthinks every conversation. The one who holds back in meetings. The one who’s been waiting for a space where they can finally just show up.

That’s what we build at Unscripted Productions: a room where you’re not judged, you’re not graded, and you’re absolutely not expected to be funny.

You’re just expected to be here.

If...

You are the person who laughs loudest at other people's stories but hasn't told many of your own lately.

You are the one who does the thing — the job, the responsibilities, the showing up — but somewhere along the way stopped making room for something just for you.

You are curious about improv but convinced you'd be the worst one in the room.

You feel like it should be easier to make adult friends.

You are exactly who this class is for.

Our classes aren't about being funny, being an actor, being quick-witted. They're about being human among other humans... pretty novel concept, huh?

Come find out what can happen when you say yes to something new.

So… this is awkward.

When we created this session of beginner improv, we duplicate our advanced level class. We do this often when we build sessions.

The problem is, they have different price points so if we don’t remember to edit those, the pricing automatically carries over.

We’ve now fixed it. Hopefully our fumble becomes an opportunity for someone.
