Hello! My name is Shirrel Sanford. Besides being an instructional aide, I have taught art 20+ years to students in K-8th grades.
Most of my projects started with community volunteer work.

Aren't these cute "cowboy chickens"?! There's a cute little story behind this. Shirrel was teaching art to the transitional kindergarten class and was drawing a turkey with a pilgrim hat when one of the little students piped up and asked why they were drawing cowboy chickens! Too cute, everyone got a big laugh.

Here are a couple pictures from last week's Rose Pageant. Everything went great! Can you guess what the theme was?
Tonight is the big night... Wasco Rose Pageant! Shirrel and her team have been busy, busy, busy working on props and designs. Pictures will be posted later, we don't want to ruin the surprise. Good luck to all the girls and hope you've had an awesome time!
