π It all started with diving deeper into the issues with the Pawtuxet River at the very beginning of this journey β and yesterday, I had the opportunity to bring our Commission to Washington, D.C. for a private meeting with our federal delegation!
Itβs incredibly special and truly an honor to be able to do this work and serve as a voice for our communities in Washington. Being part of these conversations and advocating for what matters to us is something I donβt take lightly.
Iβm proud to share that theyβre fully on board and committed to working with us to reduce flooding and protect this vital resource for our communitiesππ»

This past week, I had the pleasure of joining students from Coventry and Toll Gate as they celebrated an incredible achievement β bringing home the gold and earning $500 scholarships!!!π₯π₯³
So proud of all the hard work and dedication shown by these students, and a special shoutout to my colleague, Coach Kelly Erinakes, and the Coventry HS Decathlon Team for their outstanding efforts.ππ»

It was an excellent hearing for my public safety bill H-7753 in Judiciary last night making it a felony to attempt to disarm a police officer.
π£ Special shout out to Chief Duffy of Newport Police Department who testified in person as well as 6 Police Chiefs who submitted written testimony alongside the Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association, and residents of our community! Thank you ALL!

Over the past two days, I had the opportunity to attend two different meaningful events in the City of Warwick, a community that I am honored to serve!
The first set of photos highlights the New England Donor Services event at Warwick City Hall, where we recognized April as National Organ Donor Month and emphasized the life-saving impact of becoming an organ donorπ©Ί
The second set of photos is from todayβs groundbreaking ceremony at City Centre on Jefferson Boulevard, adjacent to the InterLink. This exciting project marks another step forward in continuing to strengthen and revitalize the cityπͺ
π£οΈ Stay tuned for more updates and community events!

I spent my morning with an incredible group of students at the RI Civic Leadership SummitπΌ also alongside the Secretary of State, Gregg Amore. I had the pleasure of sitting with students from North Kingstown High School, Tolman High School, E-Cubed Academy, and JMW School for the Arts, and also connecting with attendees from Coventry High School!
It is truly inspiring to see the next generation of leaders in action!

Proud to have submitted my final bill of this legislative session last evening β focusing on protecting the dedicated men and women who serve as our Correctional Officers!
