Blue Jay
A flash of cobalt in the quiet trees,
the blue jay arrives like a spark of thought—
bold voice, bright feathers,
a tiny storm of confidence.

It hops along the branch,
curious, clever, unafraid,
a guardian of the backyard kingdom,
announcing the morning with a shout of color.
