Special Weather Statement until 11:00 PM 6/17/26 for Polk, Dallas, and Greene counties.

A strong thunderstorm near Morrisville moving southeast at 30 mph may bring wind gusts up to 50 mph and torrential rainfall. Gusts could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects, with localized flooding and dangerous travel.

Seek shelter indoors and do not drive through flooded roadways.

Northwestern Cedar County in southwestern Missouri...
Southwestern St. Clair County in west central Missouri...
Northeastern Vernon County in west central Missouri...

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 650 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Schell City,
or 9 miles southeast of Rich Hill, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
El Dorado Springs, Walker, Schell City, Roscoe, Harwood, Tiffin,
Horton, Taberville, Caplinger Mills, Cedar Springs, and Monegaw
Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on or near Truman Lake, get away from the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for southwestern
and west central Missouri.
