Also, so that you may keep track of where I'll be and how I'm doing throughout the season. Check back weekly for updates on races and events. We strive to present ourselves in a professional manner on and off the track. We also have a firm belief in keeping racing fun! Without the support of family and fans there would be no racing. With that being said I would like to thank all of the fans that support their local dirt tracks and the families that support their driver.

Sunday recap:

No video this week, some idiot forgot to hit record (it was me)

Drew a 92 so started last in Heat 3, finished 3rd.

Started 6th in the feature, fighting with Justin for 5th the whole race, tried to send it into turn 3 coming to the checkered flag, stepped on it and looped it. Luckily there was a big enough gap and I kept it going, 1 car got by and brought it home 7th.

As always, huge thanks to:

Scheduled to roll off 2nd in the heat, 1st elected to start at the back, Rolled off 1st in Heat 2, the bottom was very soupy so as soon as the green flag dropped 2 cars got by on the outside, tucked in behind them and held on for 3rd.

Rolled of 6th in the feature, was up to 4th and hung there most of the race, with a couple laps left, David snuck past me and we came home 5th.

Overall, car is in one piece, it felt good, had some overheating issues at the end, goal for this year is to keep racking up Top 5's, so we're still on track.

No races next weekend, I'll take some time and keep trying to improve this car and see what we can do.

Things sure have evolved, 16 years ago at the now closed Thunderbird Raceway. Instead of going to prom, we went racing instead.

Sunday morning recap:

Rolled off 1st in Heat 1, breezed through it and won the heat.

Rolled off 2nd in the Feature, took the lead for a few laps on initial start. The track had some character after all the rain we've gotten recently, after hitting a rut in turn 1 & 2, I slid back to 3rd. The last restart of the race was green, white, checkered, made a good 2 lap shootout trying to get back to 2nd, but ended up bringing home 3rd.

Overall, a great way to kick off the season, really hoping to continue getting results like this.

As always, a huge thanks to my sponsors:

If you didn't know, I build my own engines. My Dad and I always have all the way back to the go kart days.

As much as I love building them, I hate breaking them in, it's the most nerve racking part and makes me sick to my stomach during the whole process.

Broke this one in for Chris Brockway last night just in time for opening night at Central Missouri Speedway tomorrow night!
