CONGRATULATIONS to our senior catcher Anthony Carter on hitting his FIRST CAREER HOME RUN today against Fitzgerald High School!

Anthony crushed it over the left center field fence, helping the Marauders to a decisive 21-4 victory. What a way to make your mark in your senior season!

The team's offensive explosion led to the game ending after just 2 innings. Great teamwork all around, but a special shoutout to Anthony for this milestone achievement!

Weekly Game Update April 12-19:

Saturday Doubleheader vs. Cousino Patriots

We faced a tough Cousino team in a doubleheader this weekend. Despite showing some impressive moments, we dropped both games.

Game 1: Cousino 15, Warren Mott 0
Game 2: Cousino 22, Warren Mott 7

In the second game, we showed great resilience with 5 runs in the second inning. Dustin Mayfield had a standout performance with a triple that drove in 3 runs, while Ryan Evangelista contributed with a single that brought home 2 runs. We kept the game tied at 7-7 through five innings before Cousino pulled away.

Wednesday vs. Sterling Heights Stallions

The team bounced back in a big way with a 17-2 victory over Sterling Heights! We exploded for 11 runs in the second inning, showing what our offense is capable of when firing on all cylinders.

- Blake Wright went 2-for-3 with a triple and 2 RBIs
- Kevin Barden pitched an excellent game, allowing just 1 hit over 3.2 innings with 8 strikeouts
- Alex Dunn and Dustin Mayfield each collected multiple hits

Thursday vs. Center Line Panthers

We kept the momentum going with a dominant 19-0 win against Center Line, powered by a 15-run first inning.

- Dustin Mayfield was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3
- Alex Dunn also went 3-for-3
- Brandon Fletcher drove in 3 runs with a double
- Lucas Wypiszewski pitched a 3-inning no-hitter with 4 strikeouts

Player Highlights

- Dustin Mayfield had an incredible week at the plate, including a perfect 3-for-3 day against Center Line
- Alex Dunn continues to be a consistent offensive threat
- Kevin Barden and Lucas Wypiszewski provided strong performances on the mound

Warren Mott Marauders Varsity won big over Warren Woods-Tower Varsity Titans 12-5 on Tuesday at Warren Mott High School.

Warren Mott Marauders Varsity got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Brandon Fletcher was struck by a pitch, Blake Wright walked, and Ryan Evangelista singled to left field, each scoring one run.

Alex Dunn earned the win for Warren Mott Marauders Varsity. The pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking one. Landon Chamberlain took the loss for Warren Woods-Tower Varsity Titan. The starter went three innings, giving up three runs on one hit, striking out eight and walking three. Rylan Anolick and Lucas Wypiszewski each appeared in relief for Warren Mott Marauders Varsity.

Brandon Fletcher and Anthony Carter were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Warren Mott Marauders Varsity. Lucas Wypiszewski went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Warren Mott Marauders Varsity in hits. Warren Mott Marauders Varsity had patience at the plate, tallying 10 walks for the game. Rylan Anolick and Blake Wright led the team with two walks each. Alex Dunn and Brandon Fletcher each stole multiple bases for Warren Mott Marauders Varsity. Warren Mott Marauders Varsity stole eight bases in the game.

Derek Akins and Foley Kedzior each collected one hit for Warren Woods-Tower Varsity Titan. Warren Woods-Tower Varsity Titan had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Tim Turini and Landon Chamberlain led the team with two walks each. Derek Akins and Landon Chamberlain each stole multiple bases for Warren Woods-Tower Varsity Titan. Warren Woods-Tower Varsity Titan ran wild on the base paths, accumulating eight stolen bases for the game.

Last Wednesday, we honored an incredible group of seniors who have meant so much to our Warren Mott Baseball program over the past 4 years. Their leadership, hard work and dedication have set a tremendous example.

To our seniors - Jonah, Richie, Matt, Gavin, Lobin, and Connor - thank you for your countless contributions, both on and off the field. The memories, friendships and life lessons you've gained will last forever.

While we're sad to see you go, we know this is just the start of an exciting new chapter. We can't wait to follow your future successes, whatever path you choose. Once a Marauder, always a Marauder!

Congratulations again to our amazing senior class! We're extremely proud of the young men you've become. Thank you for your commitment to Marauder Baseball!
