Some have taken the mistaken view that 'fulfillment' means 'termination' of what God accomplished over the course of redemptive history. The 'story' recorded in the pages of the inspired Scriptures (II Tim. 3:16, 17) was PROGRESSIVE and reached its consummation in those events associated with the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 CE.

The Bible was not written TO us but that which is contained therein is FOR us and the benefits of what Christ accomplished remain. It is not OUR story, but God's "purpose of the ages" (Eph. 3:11) accomplished redemption, reconciliation, and restoration of what was lost from the beginning.
