Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. At the center of our work at the Joyful Heart Foundation is a deep dedication to building safer, more joyful communities. Today, we acknowledge the heightened risk of hate crimes, violence, and family rejection our LGBTQ+ community members face, as well as ongoing attacks on their most fundamental human rights. We also celebrate q***r joy, strength, and resistance. We see you, we embrace you for who you are, and we're in this fight with you, always.

THRILLING NEWS: THE TAKE IT DOWN ACT HAS PASSED!!!

This landmark legislation empowers victims and survivors of image-based abuse by criminalizing the act of uploading sexually explicit content without consent and requiring its removal within 48 hours of notification. For years, survivors have had to fight to remove rapidly-spreading explicit images and deepfakes that were posted and spread without their consent. Now, abusers and platforms alike have a clear mandate: TAKE IT DOWN.
