Connections for Youth - Support for Families
NOAS exists to inspire, develop, and nurture enduring support & connections for current and former foster youth and those at risk of coming into care. There is an urgent need for foster caregivers in NE Ohio and NOAS is here to support families and children who need our help. We recruit, train and assist potential caregivers who want to make a difference in the life of a child.

Summer doesn't have to be filled with expensive vacations or elaborate plans to create meaningful memories.
Sometimes the strongest connections are built through the simplest moments—a walk around the neighborhood, an ice cream cone, a game of cards, or a conversation on the front porch.
For children in foster care, these everyday experiences help build trust, belonging, and connection.
This summer, focus less on perfection and more on presence. The time you spend together matters more than you may realize. ☀️❤️
What is your favorite simple summer tradition? We would love to hear from you in the comments.

Every teen deserves someone cheering them on after graduation.
Someone to call when they get their first job.
Someone to help them navigate challenges.
Someone to celebrate milestones with them.
Someone who believes in them.
Yet many teens in foster care face adulthood without the guidance, encouragement, and support most young adults rely on. Some will age out of foster care with no permanent family connection and no consistent place to turn when life gets hard.
The transition to adulthood is challenging for any young person. It can be even more difficult when you're facing it alone.
Could you be the caring adult who makes a difference? Could you provide the stability, support, and connection an older teen needs through foster care or adoption?
To learn more, contact NOAS at 330-980-4940. A conversation could change a young person's future—and yours.

What matters most isn't being home all day—it's having the patience, understanding, flexibility, and commitment to support a child who needs stability and encouragement.
Children in foster care come from all walks of life, and so do foster parents. Teachers, nurses, office professionals, factory workers, business owners, and many others successfully foster while balancing work and family responsibilities.
Have you ever thought about becoming a foster parent? We would love to answer your questions and help you explore whether fostering is right for you.

What was your favorite summer tradition growing up? ☀️
Maybe it was family cookouts, camping trips, backyard bonfires, ice cream runs, trips to the pool, or staying up late catching fireflies.
For many children in foster care, those simple traditions can provide something even more meaningful—a sense of belonging, connection, and stability.
Foster families help create the moments and memories that children carry with them for a lifetime.
What summer tradition would you share with a child in your home? Comment below. We would love to know.

Teens need support, stability, guidance, and connection just as much as younger children. Many dream of having a caring adult who believes in them, celebrates their successes, helps them navigate challenges, and is there when they need encouragement.
Without permanent connections and support, youth who age out of foster care face significantly higher risks of homelessness, unemployment, and other challenges as they transition to adulthood.
Could you be the person who makes a difference for a teenager?
