Silver’s dipping… so we’re buying the dip the only way we know how 😏🥣
Even the Warren Exchange mascot is getting in on it — chips in hand, scooping up every ounce while the price is down. 🐒🚀
My daughter says AI is “soulless”…
…but I don’t know — this little guy crushing dip feels pretty alive to me 😂
💥 Real talk though:
When silver drops, that’s when the smart money stacks. Not when it’s hyped… when it’s quiet.

Not a … but something straight out of the mailbox!
From legendary artist Will Schaff — who just so happens to live right up the street from the shop.
I’ve been a fan for 17 years since I got here in Warren… and I finally got a piece.
Check out I have wanted a piece of for a looooong time! Grab one if he is still taking orders!
This isn’t just mail… it’s art.

Today’s couldn’t fit on the counter so it is a chair-side find at Warren Exchange — a pop art autographed portrait of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Kareem isn’t just one of the greatest players in basketball history. A few years ago he sold many of his own championship rings and trophies to raise millions for education through the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Skyhook Foundation.
That’s the kind of legacy that goes beyond sports — using success to open doors for the next generation. And a Micheal Jackson autograph. What more needs to be said about the King of Pop. Both of these guys were huge in my childhood during the 1980s.

School’s closed all week because of the blizzard…
So what does a teacher who loves coins do?
He grabs a random coin bag and starts sorting.
And this falls out…
A cut piece of an early 1700s Spanish 8 Reales — hand-cut silver money from the days of pirates and colonial trade.
While everyone else is binge-watching Netflix, he’s holding 300-year-old history in his hand.
Snow days hit different when you love coins.
Smallest town. Smallest state. Biggest history.

❄️ 34.5 INCHES 😳❄️
Our kids’ school is closed and some roads are still impassable, so Warren Exchange will be CLOSED today while we dig out and let crews do their thing.
📦 The good news — we will be processing online orders as usual, so shipping stays on track.
We’re hoping to reopen tomorrow if conditions improve. Stay safe out there, check on your neighbors, and enjoy the snow day if you can ☃️
Thank you for always supporting our little shop in the littlest state with the biggest snowfall totals of 💛

at Warren Exchange
A tin full of mid-century playground history just hit the counter.
This lot includes a great mix of machine-made and earlier styles, including:
🔵 Cat’s Eyes – Clear base with colored vanes inside, hugely popular from the 1950s–70s.
🔴 Oxblood Swirls – Look for that deep brick-red ribbon in the glass — always a favorite with collectors.
🟢 Patch & Ribbon Marbles – Distinct surface patches or interior ribbon patterns, often attributed to companies like Akro Agate Company and Peltier Glass Company.
🟡 Solid Color & Slag Types – Opaque and two-tone examples common in early 20th-century American production.
⚪ Shooters – The larger examples used as the “knock-out” marble in play.
Most appear to be machine-made American production, likely 1930s–1970s, when companies like Marble King were producing by the millions for dime stores and schoolyards across the country.
Condition ranges from lightly played to well-loved — which honestly is part of the charm. These weren’t shelf pieces… they were pocket pieces.
Glass, color layering, seam lines, and pontil marks are always key when narrowing down attribution.
If you were digging through this tin, what are you hunting first — oxblood or shooter? 👀

Since the Olympics are underway, here’s something that came across the counter — 1996 Atlanta Olympic Gymnast Barbie.
Fun fact… I was actually at the Atlanta Olympics and watched volleyball in person. What a moment in history.
And speaking of history — congratulations to Team USA Women’s Hockey bringing home gold! 🥇
Women’s hockey didn’t even become an Olympic sport until 1998. That first-ever gold medal team? Seven players were from Providence College.
Seven.
Over a third of the roster.
And I graduated from PC the year they sent those 7 Friars to the Olympics.
Pretty incredible legacy.
From Atlanta ‘96 to Nagano ‘98… to today.
USA all the way. 🇺🇸🔥

🙉
Customer walks in with a vintage monkey bank…
Still sealed with masking tape from the 1970s.
I offered to buy it before opening — hoping for some silver treasure inside. 🪙✨
He didn’t want to gamble… so we cracked it open right here at the counter.
Drumroll…
Pennies. Almost all slimy pennies. 😂
He goes, “Well… they’re all uncirculated coin.”
Sir.
If you’re pulling coins out of a monkey’s backside,
those might be the MOST circulated coins there can be. 🙈💀
We both got a good laugh.
Moral of the story:
Sometimes it’s a mystery pull…
Sometimes it’s 47 years of copper disappointment.
Either way — we’re opening it at the counter.
