Beware of Voice Search Registration Scams as voice search is becoming increasingly popular, and businesses that are not optimized for voice search are missing out on potential customers. However, there are a number of companies that are scamming businesses by offering to register them for voice search.

These companies will often claim that they can create new business profiles for businesses that already have one. However, this is against the policies of Google, Apple, Bing, Alexa, and Cortana. Creating new business profiles can lead to confusion for customers and can also damage the business’s reputation. In addition, these companies are often not providing any valuable services. They are simply creating new business profiles that will not rank well in voice search results. (As with all sales calls, NEVER act on a call you get. If you are truly interested do a search online and get some ratings of companies and make an independent choice. NO ONE is ever calling YOU for YOUR benefit, it's for their benefit.)

Here are some tips for avoiding scams when hiring a company to help you with voice search registration:

Get everything in writing. Once you have chosen a company, be sure to get everything in writing. This includes the terms of service, the fees, and the guarantees.

One-time registration: Some companies will claim that you only need to register one time and that it will work forever. This is not true. Voice search algorithms are constantly changing, so you need to keep your business profile updated in order to stay visible in voice search results.
Future monthly fees: Some companies will charge you monthly fees for their voice search registration services. This is not necessary. You can register your business for voice search for free.
