Today we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history. ❤️🖤💚
On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom. Since then, Juneteenth has become a day of remembrance, celebration, education, and reflection.
Today, we celebrate freedom, honor history, and recognize the voices that continue to shape our world. ✨
