Gore Place hosted 3rd graders from and public schools for a week in early June. This field trip is a highlight of the year for many students, who toured the Mansion, learned to weave, created their own "coat of arms," planted microgreens, and fed the chickens on the farm. Thank you to Watertown Savings Bank - Massachusetts for making this field trip possible.

Calling all soccer fans! The World Cup game Haiti vs. Scotland is happening tonight in Foxboro!

soccer, or "association football" was formed with standardized rules in Britain in 1863. However, many different kicking games have existed throughout the world for centuries.

This handkerchief in the Gore Place collection dates from the 1870s and depicts children playing the game.

Connor is wrapping up his big project in June. He moved more than 100 objects out of the attic and down three flights of stairs to a more climate controlled space. What a lot of work!
