On April 30 the Undergraduate Research and Creative Collaboration’s annual spring symposium showcased the research projects of students across disciplines in the humanities. Among those students, Evelyn Bagley ’27 presented their project "Dialogue of the City,” which explores graffiti and its meaning for different cities in Eastern Europe.

On Sunday May 17, Brandeis held their 75th commencement ceremony and honored the 2026 graduating class. Highlights from the ceremony included a 50th reunion for the class of 1976, a speech from graduating senior Khimaya Bagla ’26 and a silent protest against Sheryl Sandberg, who gave the keynote address.

Founded in 1987, the Brandeis Mountain Club became a secured club on campus this semester after a Student Senate vote and campus-wide vote both passed. The club hosts popular off-campus trips, all of which are full according to BMC President Isaac Lambert ’26. As a secured club, BMC is hoping to increase their positive impact on Brandeis’ campus.

This past weekend, The Brandeis men’s tennis team competed in the 2026 UAA tournament in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Judges were the highest ranked they’ve ever been entering the tournament, and left in fifth place and ranked #20 overall in division III men’s tennis.

Last week, the Student Union held its State of the Union address, during which Daniel Shin ’27 and Monica Lopez Hernandez ’28 were sworn in as the new president and vice president. Former president Ria Escamilla-Gil ’27 celebrated the Student Union’s accomplishments this past school year, presented various awards and held a farewell ceremony for the graduating seniors.
