Follow up on my previous post. It just keeps getting worse. Inadequate fastening. Improper flashing that lead to severe rot and the deck itself pulling away from the home. Old patch and repair work. A framing technique that bypasses proper joist hangers. Lack of a doubled outside rim. Stair structure cut with improper dimensional Lumber. This deck is an absolute mess.

Cheap construction will cost you more in the long run. Finding qualified people is difficult. It’s even more difficult when you set the price tag. Don’t look for cost. Look for value and reputation. Buy once. Cry once.

Pantries seem to be all the craze in Fort Mill. You’ll find that wire shelving is the standard in new construction homes here. For my highly detailed clients that’s just not acceptable. Customized spaces is what I do. This one also needed a pocket door framed in. Now we are waiting on the custom door slab to come. This project will absolutely have updated pictures in the future.

Finished 185 feet of crown in the last day and a half. Crown molding always adds great detail to any space. A simple upgrade can do so much.

Update and rehab of this landing. Stairs were in terrible shape. Screened in porch was compromised by the fact that bugs could still enter from the deck boards. Added skirting and screening around the perimeter of the deck. Bugs aren’t finding their way in easily now.

Waiting on door and drawer pulls. Then I hang the TV and it’s 100%.

The final results of my coolest project yet.

Fort Mill's been my main attraction. Only one project outside of this town since moving here. Currently working on this entertainment built-in. Final results coming in a week. On average, I work about 10 minutes from home. I couldn’t ask for better.

I wanted to wait until this one was fully finished, but I'm too hyped. Had a blast working on it. Golf anyone?

Room is even cooler in person. This space is the other side of the pantry remodel I just completed. Excited to see it decorated with its final fixtures in place.
