Walpole Fix it Clinic which took place at the Walpole Walpole Public Library on 5/5/26. Thanks to all of those who came out to help and also to those who took advantage of the event by bringing in broken items to be fixed! 😀

The Walpole Health Department is grateful to all of those Fixperts who came out to help support our 2nd Fix it Clinic! Many Walpole residents took advantage of this event, and many broken items (lamps, irons, jewelry, panini presses, stuff animals, clocks etc.) were fixed! Keep your eyes open for advertisement for upcoming Fix it Clinics. We will plan to do one next year, however if we have enough volunteers, we may be able to host another event this fall.

The Walpole Health Department hosted another successful Household Hazardous Waste Day which could not have been done without our AMAZING volunteers! We want to send a big THANK YOU to all who helped out this past weekend at our Household Hazardous Waste Day (HHWD). We had a little under 200 cars come through the event which is awesome. The Walpole Health Department is extremely grateful for our volunteers, and we know that we would not be able to hold events like our HHWD or flu clinics without volunteers signing up to help out.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our next HHWD scheduled for May 1, 2027!

Reminder-WALPOLE FIX IT CLINIC tomorrow May 5th 4pm-7pm
This will be the second Fix it Clinic the Waste Reduction Committee is running. For those of you unfamiliar with the ‘Fix it Clinic’ concept, the event is held to fix items you may have which are broken (lamps, electronics, etc.), in hopes to eliminate the number of items going into the waste stream and also deter individuals from purchasing new items.
Please feel free to share the attached flyer. You will see on the flyer that there is a signup link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdN40_ovF5Y_WcWSxkQSPkBQZxyZiINXdUfjR1t60gPTKwafA/viewform?usp=header & QR code for those interested in bringing items to this event to be fixed. It is not required for individuals to signup; however, it gives those running the event a better idea of what to expect for volume.
