Last week the City of Walnut held its first annual SERVICE night celebration, which recognized our LA County Sheriffs department, Walnut Explorers program, reserve deputies, and station volunteers for their hard work and dedication to our community. Their work is inspiring and our city is a safer place with their ongoing efforts and dedication.

Stopped by the SGV legislative reception last week in the City of San Gabriel. Great to see and chat with our local and state legislators working to represent the San Gabriel Valley.

I had the greatest time being a “secret” (🤫) judge of the Industry Hills Rotary Club chili cookoff! I had 18 small bowls of chili, definitely enough to fill my chili appetite for the summer. Thank you to for having me, they do incredible work for the community and I’m always so grateful to support them!

Congratulations to my friends at .chicken for their second location! Wallace started in Walnut and just expanded with their first drive thru to West Covina (with many more locations to come). I’m so happy to see a Walnut business expanding and doing so well, congrats again my friends, Ricky and Annie.

I’m so excited to announce that I attended my first Southern California Assembly of Governments transportation committee meeting today. I am honored to have a presidential appointment by S**G President Ray Marquez of Chino Hills to represent Walnut on a regional scale. S**G is the largest metropolitan planning organization in the United States, representing six counties, 191 cities, and 19 million residents in California. Congratulations to my friend Steven Ly of Rosemead for his election to Vice Chair!

In my personal life, I spent this last weekend at Law School mentoring undergraduate and law students at the 2nd ever model constitutional convention! Thank you so much to Dean Lindquist and Director Neta Borshansky for having me back! This was a very meaningful experience for me back when I was in graduate school, and I’m extremely proud that our committee (We The People) won best committee overall.

I took a tour of the LA County ballot processing center (where fry’s used to be!). The facility is open to the public and is also live streamed via YouTube.
It was also a pleasure to meet the sweetest K9 Tito (who is a drug sniffing K9) with the LA County Sheriffs Department!

Honored to have participated in the City of Walnut Memorial Day remembrance wreath laying ceremony. Especially in the 250th year of our great country, this reminds us of the great sacrifices that our service men and women make for our nation. God bless the United States of America 🇺🇸

I was so honored to be in Washington D.C. last week to speak at the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies Legislative Leaders Summit!
I’m so proud to talk about the City of Walnut on such a big stage. This panel highlighted next generation leadership and I’m grateful to be included with such a trailblazing community ( ).
Thank you so much to President and for having me.
