Achieving the Future of Solar Powered Transportation Technology Building the solar car is a hands-on experience that encourages teamwork and leadership.
The Walnut Solar Car Team is comprised of 26 high school students who seek to bring technology and science to life. The members meet every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to create Horus, the team’s new and improved solar car, from scratch to enter in the annual Solar Car Challenge in Texas as the only Californian representative.
