To say I’m proud is an understatement!
Kathy walked in my shop one day looking for Iron Orchid Designs molds and has taken almost every class I held ever since!
She is determined, she’s a fast learner and she actually uses all the supplies she purchases. I am amazed at this transformation. She was not familiar with painting furniture, but she took some classes and this is the end result.
A gorgeous mixed media piece.
If you have the will to learn, you will accomplish your goal! From trash to treasure, I give her an A+++!!

Look how adorable my Winston came out!! I had him custom painted by Lindsey, the owner of Lindsey's Craft Studio located right here in Wallingford! Stop in her beautiful shop to say hello or check out her awesome classes online!!

Well, I have some good and bad news.
Marcella did not fit in the space she was intended for at my mom’s, so she’s on the market and looking for her forever home. If you’re interested, please send me a pm to adopt her.

Some pieces are a dream and others…….😣
Let’s just say I got duped this time.
Although, the bones were in great condition, this piece had a lot more issues than I could see because it had been refinished in a textured paint.
As I started to sand it down, a lot of the veneer came up that was hidden by the texture. Causing me to say a few choice words! Nonetheless, this french country beauty was sanded, wood filled, primed, painted in DB Dropcloth mixed with Saltwash. A french stencil was added along with some pretty floral transfers from IOD. I left the original hardware it came with.
She’s solid and the drawers are deep. I did my absolute best to bring her back to life and she is a beauty!! (She’s also going home with my mom 🥰)

We had an 80th birthday celebration today and these ladies did an awesome job! They each decorated a birdhouse in a private class to honor the birthday girl! 🥳🎉🎂

This is Madison.
She came in nice and clean and in good condition. She was just a little dated in her home. Her owner chose this new color from Dixie Belle called Heirloom. It’s a deep jewel-toned green-blue with black undertones. We accented with black wax and finished off the original hardware in gold gilding wax.
I think she’s pretty amazing! What do you think?
