Stillwood Storage

It is with mixed emotions that the Zandri family announces that the Stillwood property at 1074 South Colony Road, first housing Zandri's Catering Service and Zandri's Stillwood Inn, and over the past year, home to Zandri's Catering Service and Stillwood Storage, has been sold.

Onsite since 1979, with a business that stretches back to the opening of Bergamini’s Market in 1939 on Quinnipiac Street, Jim Zandri and Zandri's Catering Service will continue to operate from the facility's commercial kitchen space.

We want to take this time to thank all of our customers, from all of our businesses over the past eight decades, for granting us the opportunity to serve you.

I would like to thank everyone, customers and supporters alike, for helping us turn our business on a dime in the middle of this pandemic.

Whether you reached out to us for space because you needed it or you passed someone else along to us - it mattered and made a difference.

While we've been running the property management and the storage garage business on the grounds of 1074 South Colony Road for the past 35 years, the indoor climate control conversion is something we did on the fly beginning in April as we gutted the former banquet facility.

We opened the new section on October 1, 2020 - we are not quite to the end of December and we are nearly sold out of available units.

As a business, we've always tried to support others and be a good part of "the community" - this started with Zandri's Stillwood Inn and Zandri's Catering and the family carried this through as Stillwood Storage.

For us, when I didn't have a space available for someone outside, I gave them the names of other local places "up the road". Maybe they couldn't be my customer because I didn't have any availability, but they could be someone else's and I wanted to refer them to someone else local.

When the Wallingford Elks needed some space for a couple of months - we donated it to them.

I really do believe that "pay it forward" comes back to you.
