Yoga & Wellness I am a 200-hour Yoga Teacher. I teach public classes, private sessions, recovery yoga, and private sessions throughout Connecticut.
Yoga is a bridge to recovery. Often times, trauma, pain, and stress are hidden in our bodies. The mind is a powerful thing. Even when we think we have moved beyond something–our bodies tell us differently. Therapeutic yoga helps us to move through trauma–physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I believe that in order to address mental health, you have to address physical health.

Thank you for ending the toxic “no quitting at all costs” mentality.
Thank you for illustrating mental health is a priority.
Thank you for demonstrating there are more important things than winning.
Thank you for modeling what it means to take care of yourself.
Thank you for teaching us the value in sometimes placing our own needs before pleasing others.
Thank you for sending the message that even a gold medal won’t solve depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.
But a break might. A hiatus from the pressure. Some time away. Maybe forever- who knows. It’s up to her to figure that out and I’ll be cheering for her the whole time ❤️❤️❤️
